Illegal immigration is one of the major problems facing our country. We take pride in the fact that our nation is a nation of immigrants. However, we don't want it to become a nation of illegal immigrants. The federal government must seal the border and stop people crossing the border illegally. A porous border is a serious breach in security. The solution is very simple! The border should be put under electronic surveillance. Those who cross the border can be quickly apprehended, tried on location, and sent back. Employers who hire illegal aliens, they should be held responsible for the cost of apprehending, legal proceedings, and deporting of those employees who were hired by them.
