I propose the following solution and I will be the first one to implement it. I propose that a candidate should not accept any money from special interests. If he does, he should list on his web site the name of the contributor and the amount of contribution. Moreover, each candidate should donate as much money to charitable causes as he would spend on his campaign. This way, even if a candidate loses and does not get an opportunity to serve in a public office, his efforts would have helped the needy.

I do not plan to accept money from special interests. I intend to donate to charitable causes (Scholarship fund, Salvation Army, etc.,) as much as I spend on my campaign. It would be nice if other candidates did the same.
